What is CBD Oil?

Cannabidiol, or CBD, is one of the primary molecular compounds found in the cannabis plant. Currently, CBD is used as an alternative treatment for a variety of discomforts. It can be administered in a variety of ways including spectrum oils, tinctures, edibles, and topical creams or lotions.

Unlike THC, the well-known psychoactive compound found in cannabis, CBD will not get you high. In fact, CBD counteracts the psychotropic effects of THC, so there is absolutely no hemp oil high.

What Can CBD Treat?

Many researchers are looking into ways that CBD can help and there is still much to be done in this area.

CBD has been shown to be safe and effective and it can be taken as part of a normal routine of dietary supplements. Full spectrum CBD oil, which contains many other helpful cannabinoids in addition to CBD, can be taken as one would take a daily multivitamin.

While CBD is a useful compound on its own, its effects are much more noticeable when it is taken with the full range of other cannabinoids that are present in hemp oil.

How to Determine Dosage

As I mentioned before, there is no lethal or even dangerous amount of CBD. It is completely non-toxic to humans and safe to consume on a regular basis. That being said, you’ll still want to determine what is an appropriate daily dosage for you.

Recommendations for CBD dosage of our CBD Oils start at no more than 2 – 3 ml total, daily, depending on body size and what symptoms you’re trying to treat. If you’re just trying to relax after a long day at the office, you’ll need less than someone who is trying to treat significant discomfort in their wrist.

As you get more familiar with taking CBD, you might find that you need to adjust your dosages to find your perfect amount. Most people will experiment with their CBD dosages to find the perfect amount for them.

CBD oils and concentrates are considered a dietary supplement if the CBD is derived from industrial hemp. Industrial hemp contains less than 0.3% THC and is completely legal in all 50 states.

In states where medical cannabis is legal, CBD may be derived from the cannabis flower.

CBD is a natural compound that can help treat a wide range of symptoms. Whether you’re having trouble with feelings of being overwhelmed or body discomfort issues, there’s a good chance that CBD can provide some relief. It can be treated like a daily multivitamin or dietary supplement and promotes healthy cell activity by interacting with the body’s natural endocannabinoid system.

If you’re interested in taking CBD as part of your treatment regimen, talk to your doctor about working full spectrum CBD oil into your treatment plan.

  1. KJ in Washington UT recently suggested I contact you for assistance with insomnia. I’m nearing 68 and although I’m not familiar with cannabis, was wondering how to administer and what benefits I might expect.
